Long Time No Post

So it has been a few days since my last post or maybe a few weeks! Things have been going really well and  I honestly can say that I never want to leave kindergarten! If only my past teachers could hear me saying that now... Any ways yesterday was Valentine's Day and of course we had our party or should I say parties. I like many other teachers dislike party days; it messes up the kiddos, lack of transition time, off of the schedule, SUGAR and many adults in the classroom that are not normally there. For being a party day it did go pretty smooth, just a few minor glitches. Today on the other hand was a little bit more hectic, parent groups are all in a disarray; we decided today that yet once again we are change the way we rotate centers and are placing new  "guidelines"  to follow. Something I am struggling with currently is how to work with classroom aides. We have great aides but sometimes they would rather work on what they want to instead of what needs to be done. I am learning to handle this alongside my MT; she is trying a to-do list again like she has done in previous years even though some problems did arise. It would just make things go a little bit smoother in the classroom, it would create more organization and allow everyone to be on the same page! So we will see how it pans out. I can't believe that its already time to start planning for next week again. Next week is a very important and special week...we have our 100th day of school on Tuesday!!
