Day 1

The first day went very well. Its the typical observing and getting used to the classroom procedures. Its a lot to take in but thankfully the kiddos are always willing to help out. :) Everyone has been extremely welcoming and nice which is always an added plus! Not to brag but, upon meeting one of the teachers, she said "Oh, you're Elyse, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about you! I guess word spread about my previous experience in this school district. Can anyone say hopeful job?!? Having an am and pm class is a different experience but very enjoyable, the time sure does fly! We spent the day writing New Years Resolutions, Center Time, morning meeting, read-alouds and the am kiddos went to p.e.  Tomorrow I will going to an in -service all day to learn about the new content standards, which will be great because I am still confused about them and it will allow me to meet other staff.  Another plus is Fridays are jean days!!! It's going to be a great semester!
